To celebrate the first official day of summah, I wrote a little poem for all of you.

I sit and wait in the sunshine
For the piano to play a song.
I sit in this little world of mine
And quietly hum along.

Birds are chirping
Friends are talking
The smell of sunblock's in the air
Dogs are barking
Tourists walking
No one has a care

Life may be cruel
Life may be hard
The evil rein and rule
But all that darkness feels so far
Lounging by the pool.

The sun is shining
We're graced by summer's kiss.
"If this ain't nice,"
As KV put it,
"I don't know what is."
